You can’t answer this question by giving some names. Physics is a science that tries to provide humanity with answers to fundamental questions. It means that everyone, whoever asked themselves how this or that natural phenomenon works, invents physics. But, of course, some scientists made an enormous contribution to physics by proving the well-known now laws.
For instance, Galileo and Newton discovered gravity, and Einstein became the author of the famous Theory of Relativity. They established the basis of modern physics, making it possible for others to proceed with discoveries. Thus, there is more than just one person who “invented” physics.
