PLEASE NOTE -- This series meets at:

Cooper Union | Rose Auditorium | 41 Cooper Square, New York, NY 10003

Presenters will include: Jonah Bokaer, Robert Bordo, Jim Brittingham, Peter Buckley, Sean Joseph Patrick Carney, Kimberly Drew, Jarrett Earnest, Adriana Farmiga, Day Gleeson, Ron Gorchov, Elizabeth Jaeger, Ruba Katrib, Devin Kenny, James Leary, Jayson Musson, Sophie Naess, Anne Pasternak, David Salle

Each week an artist or arts thinker gives a public presentation drawing from the specific concerns, conversations, and haranguings of their artistic discipline. Against the background of the Cooper Union, a school of fine art in a state of financial crisis, our project is to look toward the crises inherent in and among artistic disciplines themselves, and to imagine how these crises can form a basis for our learning as artists, both with and without institutions.

Join us January 26th to get the lay of the land with:

Working Definitions, or How to Achieve the Seven Things to Avoid

For the opening salvo of The Intradisciplinary Seminar, Seth Cameron (The Bruce High Quality Foundation, BHQFU) will work up, as one might a lather, various definitions that have been cast, as one might a die or an aspersion, upon the disciplines of art – of which he will claim, as one might a lost child, an island, or a piece of luggage, there are seven.
