Over two semesters, a group of ten fellows will work alongside BHQFU faculty and staff to develop an exhibition program for Spring 2016. Weekly meetings with guest artists, curators and critics will cover all practical aspects of running a gallery space and explore new ideas of what an exhibition can be. As an extension of BHQFU's experimental pedagogy, the fellowship will discuss the histories of alternative art spaces in New York and the function of university galleries today, culminating in a series of exhibitions designed and executed by the fellows.
Fellows must commit to both Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 semesters; assignments will include archival research, studio visits, group presentations and exhibition production.
