Film/Video Critique

Tuesdays, 7pm

Course Description

Film/Video critique will facilitate an evolving conversation about approaches to contemporary moving image work through the work of class participants. This course will be capped at around 15 participants, typically with two people presenting during each session. Presented work can take the form of research, text, a film or video, a presentation etc. Film/Video Critique will run for six weeks from mid September to mid October.

Aily Nash & Andrew Norman Wilson

Aily Nash is a curator and writer. She is co-curator of the New York Film Festival’s Projections section, and has curated programs and exhibitions for MoMA PS1, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Anthology Film Archives, Northwest Film Center (Portland), FACT (Liverpool), Image Forum (Tokyo), and others. Her writing has appeared in the Brooklyn Rail,, Film Comment, de Filmkrant and elsewhere. She recently served on the jury at Media City and on the FIPRESCI Jury at Oberhausen. Nash is the film curator at Basilica Hudson, and co-editor of Berlinale Talent Press, a film criticism program at the Berlinale Film Festival. She is based in Hudson and Brooklyn, New York.
Andrew Norman Wilson is an artist.
