Four artists. Three exhibition models. Only one chance to win. The challenge: create an unforgettable body of work from the mystery art supplies hidden in our baskets before time runs out. Who will become the Art Chopped Champion? And who will be chopped? Each week, three distinguished judges will evaluate contestants on technical prowess, aesthetics, and conceptual rigor over the course of three rounds: Group Show, Solo Exhibition, and Career Retrospective. Four members of the class will be selected to compete weekly and the competition will be open to the public and documented. At the end of the semester, winners from each week will face off for one final game. Course participants interested in competing as contestants should submit the required materials upon registration. Competing in Art Chopped is not necessary to attend course meetings as an audience member.
